By combining their love of Indian food and some of their own favourite family recipes, they have managed to recreate those much loved classics with a modern twist, all whilst still focusing on their love of clean, punchy flavours.
The menu at Tonka is seasonal to keep things fresh and flavoursome for you to enjoy. You can also expect great service and a fantastic wine, beer and cocktail list that won’t disappoint. The varieties of cocktails are inventive and the sommelier is extremely knowledgeable and give excellent recommendations when matching wines to significant dishes. Some may find the size of the dishes on the small side, but Tonka definitely know how to make up for it in quality and flavour.
Don’t forget to save room for the many beautiful dessert creations at Tonka, it’s definitely a great way to end your dining experience.
For those of you that may not be aware, Tonka also has a ‘Thali Bar’ located at the entrance of their restaurant. From 5:30pm until late (Monday to Sunday on a walk in basis), you can enjoy a smaller selection of Tonka’s dishes along with refreshing cocktails, beers or wines that has been designed for you to celebrate the wonderful world of Indian spice.
